#2 Christmas is Almost Here

Christmas is the biggest holiday of the year. Children are excited for weeks, parents deal with the hectic season and companies try their best to cash in on the holiday. In my article I want to discuss the top gifts of the year and what you need to remember for having a great christmas.

Parents stress for hours on end hoping to find the perfect gift, it may be something personal and well thought out or it may be the most popular toy of the year. If you are looking for the hottest toy of the season than you can expect to pack in to best buy as soon as it's open and trade elbows with angry shoppers or pay a ridiculous price from some greedy ebay seller. This year most of the top gifts will be found in the electronics department. Here are some of this year's greatest gifts.

The most sought after present this year is the video game Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock. The game may not seem like the best gift since cabbage patch kids, but the game has bred many immitators and many addicts.

  1. Guitar Hero III
  2. Apple Ipod Music Player
  3. Sharp Aquos LCD Television
  4. Razr2 Cellphone
  5. Nintendo Wii

If you are able to obtain this coveted treasure (with or without paying a mint) then you will be the coolest parent ever (at least until your child has to clean their room). Another popular item on this years wishlist is the new apple ipod line, featuring the new ipod touch. These new ipods (excluding the ipod shuffle) all are video capable. They are also built with various memory sizes for people who just listen to music or someone who wants to load it with movies. Apple does dominate the mp3 market, but there are other models that are less expensive and equally built. Creative, Sony, and Samsung are all trustworthy brands. But, if you cant find these popular gifts, go for the personal approach and find something that suits their interests: a cd of their favourite band, a book from their favourite author or something else along those lines.

Christmas can be the most stressful time of the year but it should be the happiest. Christmas is a time to spend with family, it's not about gifts and toys. Here are some tips to help you cope with that special season.

  • Do activities with your family. A walk in the park, or a big ski trip. A little family activity can go a long way to bring you together.
  • Go to church. Even if you are usually busy with hockey practice or dance you should make time to go to church on Christmas eve.
  • Think of others. Even if you are caught up in your own Christmas plans Christmas is a time of giving. Whether it is sending a christmas cards to old friends or donating mittens to a local charity think of others!
  • Get involved in the Christmas spirit. Try out for the Christmas play, help decorate the family tree or put up some Christmas lights. Any small thing will help you get in the Christmas vibe.
  • DON"T STRESS. If you burn the turkey or can't find the perfect gift, don't worry about. People will be happy that you are there and that you thought about them.

Merry Christmas everybody! .
